My name is Irene Garcia.  It is with great pride that I serve as Principal of West Park Elementary School.  My background before entering education includes 5 years as an administrator for a third-party insurance company.  While working on my master’s in career development counseling, at Fresno State, I discovered my passion for education.  I have almost 30 years of experience in education as a counselor and school administrator.  I have served as an elementary administrator, middle school principal, continuation counselor, and principal for a juvenile hall school.  While at West Park Elementary School, I will abide by our district's mission and continue to provide the best education possible for our students. As the school principal I look forward to getting to know all of my students, and the families in the community. I will work to provide every student with a positive school experience that will prepare them to fulfill their fullest potential. It is a privilege to be the Principal for West Park Elementary School. I am looking forward to a lengthy and productive relationship with the school community and all our stakeholders.
